Nasi Goreng or Vegetables?

Cooking should not take place in your bedroom. Why? well, perhaps:
1. The oil from your cooking will spatter everywhere
2. The water from the washed vegetable could spoil your carpet
3. Yeah, everything could fall apart and mess your room..
Anyway, I bought a chicken yesterday, and some vegetables too. I make this nasi goreng with lots of vegetables. Including: corn, carrot, greens, onion, garlic, pepper, salt, chicken, and rice, of course. O, i forgot, i added tofu in the nasi goreng. it’ll taste weird right?
well, the amount of rice is not as mush as it should be. My plate’s full of carrots and greens.
Some conclusions from my cooking today:
1. I should have cooked the carrots longer
2. I added too much vegetables, I feel like I’m eating salad with miscellaneous dressings instead of fried rice with vegetables
3. I should have cut the vegetables into smaller pieces
The taste wasn’t so bad though. Onion, garlic, salt, and pepper REALLY helps =)

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet

I helped my friend doing photo shooting yesterday. In that case he asked me if I wanted anything in return. I was expecting Chinese food at first. But it occurs to me that perhaps it’ll costs him too much. So i decided to ask him for flowers. He said he’ll get me a rose. I actually prefers wild flowers, but he wanted to gave me rose, so it’s fine by me. Who can resist roses, right? (well, maybe for female only).
Anyway, I quote, ” A rose by any other name would smell as sweet” (Shakespeare/ Romeo and Juliet). It meant to say that things are what they are. Many poems and plays had been using rose as a subject or use it as certain metaphors.
In the language of flowers its blossoms have always been the symbol of love (http://www.flowers-cs.com/rose.html). But in the end, A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose.

I payed my school fee today. It was a looong line. After that, I went to Genetic Lab. There I found a friend of mine, wearing lab jacket, and a Cooking Glove! He was not cooking Nasi Goreng, nor cooking Pisang Goreng too. He was cooking Gel Agarose. Funny that the glove matches his pants.

Caroline and Her House

Yesterday, I moved to a new house. I was unpacking my books from one box, and I found this children book that i loved so much. It was Caroline and Her House. It reminds me a lot of how hard it was at first to move from one place to another. To throw old things that we don’t actually need. (It’s the memories that I like, actually). Well, this book was made by Pierre Probist. It contains lots of beautiful images. The first picture is the book cover. The second one is the scene where Caroline’s house is flooded by water. And the last one is their first night at that new home. Hope you like it too! =D

Sholat

This guy is praying (sholat) in a small corner of his laboratory. He was surrounded by dracos, naginis, bufos, ranas, and even a cobra. But he managed anyway. I wonder if he able to keep his mind away from those dead animal bodies and of course, the smell.

It’s Raining! Again..

On one of the coldest days in Bandung caused by the heavy rain, me and my friends decided to watch Sherlock Holmes. We took this public transportation (angkot) and suffer from dirty smelly wet cold feet.

I was in my friend’s lab, and it was raining heavily. I was bored, drowsy, and hungry, so i experimented with my camera. The original color is good, green and so on, but i just wanted to take it in black and white. it might bring different perspective. =D

Hello world!

I have a camera for 4,5 years now. I took pictures wherever I go. And I was determined that I could advantage from my hobby. So, I entered some photo competition, which cost me money for posts and picture prints. But I have never won. By committing myself in this blog, i just wish myself to practice more. How? I’ll take one picture a day. Any object is preferable, and any type of capture is fine too..
